Well… okay, the synchronicity/coincidence factor just blew off the charts.  After attending grade school in Dallas, my parents moved us to… wait for it… Red Oak, TX.  Well, not Red Oak proper, but… wait for it… Oak Leaf. Actually, it wasn’t called Oak Leaf then, but was an unincorporated area right next to Ovilla just at the north edge of Waxahachie city limits.

So, yes, I know the area well.  And yes, I attended Red Oak High School in the 80’s.  Okay, so how weird is that?

As far as your sighting, I would sift through the archives of the Waxahachie Daily Light during the time period you mentioned.  Archived editions should be on microfiche (wait, do they even use that anymore?), or maybe they’ve been scanned and stored digitally.  I’d check with the Waxahachie library as well.

You can also look through the the National UFO Reporting Center’s database here and MUFON’S database here.

Sorry you had to sit through Universal Soldier: The Return, but it does show your dedication.  😉

BTW, lots of Hollywood productions film in Texas due to the tax incentives.  You’d be surprised.
